It’s no myth that words fail to grasp our human experience. Art transcends these disconnections. As an artist, painting has become the language I use to communicate with the world and work through personal struggles to heal old wounds. Beyond the inherent catharsis creativity offers, painting is the conduit by which I have cultivated my sense of Self. Through images and vibrant colors, I can transmute my emotions, painful experiences, and evolving identity into a work of art that connects with the viewer, inviting them to do the same.
My paintings act as snapshots, capturing moments in time or passing phases of life, allowing the viewer to be still and find connection in the details. I find something powerful in the mundane, in pausing and witnessing stillness. My still life pieces are infused with deep symbolism, painting parts of myself into each piece. Themes in my work span spirituality, healing, nostalgia, mental health, trauma, body image, identity, and personal growth. my work communicates a range of emotions and their duality—from joy to grief, and balancing both at once.
Art is medicine. Self-expression is self-care. These are messages inherent in my work, though only made tangible when witnessed by others. Sharing my art, albeit daunting, is gratifying as it fosters connections and healing within physical or virtual community spaces. Intentionally infusing my personal narrative into each piece, I aim to offer the gift of vulnerability—believing that radical authenticity is the only path to our collective healing.
